AS Media

I decided to choose Media for my A-levels because I thoroughly enjoyed it for my GCSE's and as I thought it would be an interesting way of creating new posters, trailers etc.
It's been said that media literacy is as important to living in the 21st century as regular literacy was to the 20th century. Personally, I think that Media will develop an important set of skills that will help me navigate the rest of my education and then, my working life. Hopefully, Media will help me increase your knowledge and understanding of:
  • Design
  • Planning
  • Presentation
  • Evaluation
  • Creativity
  • Critical Thinking
  • Research
  • Story-telling
  • Technology
  • Business
All of these qualities will be useful for me in the future. Media isn't always in textbooks as it is normally seen to be in the world around us for example: on tv, in magazines, newspapers. Media doesn't just exist in my school it exists in my everyday life and statistics show that 97% of the time, people are seen to be talking about the media.

As mentionned above, I am interested in learning about media as not only am I good at it but I also think that if I put the effort in highlighting my passion towards this topic, hopefully, I will succeed.
